Ash and Jake

Jake and Ash’s wedding was everything they had dreamed of—intimate, laid-back, and full of love. The day took place on Jake’s family farm in Rutherglen, with just their closest family and friends gathered to celebrate.

Their story started years ago at a university campus games night, and after seven years together, they were finally tying the knot. When Jake proposed to Ash, it was during a magical night at Uluru, right after a starlight dinner and a walk around the incredible “Field of Light” art installation. Their relationship has grown even stronger over time, especially after weathering the challenges of lockdown, which they say brought them closer in the best way.

The day itself was completely stress-free—exactly what Jake and Ash had hoped for. Ash arrived in style, pulled up in a ute, and walked down the aisle with her dad, who couldn’t hold back his tears. The ceremony took place in the middle of the paddock, with everyone gathered around. It was simple, beautiful, and full of joy.

After the ceremony, the celebrations continued under the shade of some stunning old gum trees. Guests sipped cocktails and enjoyed the relaxed vibe as the sun set. The setting was perfect for such an intimate celebration, with a cozy table setup for everyone to enjoy a delicious dinner together under the open sky.

Throughout the day, there was so much laughter and love. Jake’s family even recreated a fun photo from his parents’ wedding day, with the wedding party all wearing sunglasses—a playful nod to the past. There was also the classic champagne spray moment, which was a highlight, and some gorgeous sunset shots that captured the essence of the day perfectly.

When asked to describe their relationship, Jake and Ash chose three words: supportive, loving, and humorous. And that’s exactly how their wedding day felt—full of support from family, laughter, and genuine love between them. They kept things light and fun, which made the day even more special for everyone involved.
